Three-time Olympian Abdi Abdirahman completed a successful tune-up for next month's ING New York City Marathon today when he won the USA 10 mile title at the Medtronic TC 10 Mile today in Minneapolis.  For Abdirahman, of Tucson, Ariz., who ran a personal best 46:35, it was his second national 10 mile title; he also won in 2005.

Abdirahman's victory wasn't a surprise, but the second place finish by Team USA Minnesota's Josh Moen, just three seconds back in a personal best, was.  Moen, who has been with the Minnesota elite training group for only about a year under coach Dennis Barker, is also running the marathon in New York which serves as the national championship this year for men.

Third place went to Patrick Smyth, this year's Big East 10,000m champion for Notre Dame.  Smyth ran 47:09 in his debut at the distance.

Still to be decided today in the Twin Cities is the USA women's marathon title.  Forty-five year-old Colleen De Reuck is attempting to become the oldest-ever USA marathon champion.
